Meta Launches New AI Model in Audio-Video Creation
Social media giant Meta has introduced a new AI model that can generate audio and video based on user prompts. Announced on Friday, the new tool, named "MovieGen," is designed to create realistic multimedia content from text-based instructions. This move is seen as Meta's challenge to OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT, and ElevenLabs, both of which are key players in AI-driven content generation.
With MovieGen, users can simply input the type of audio or video they wish to create, and the AI will generate it accordingly. Meta has already shared several sample videos showcasing the model's capabilities. Some of the videos feature animals swimming and surfing, while others show realistic human images painting on a canvas.
In addition to generating video content, MovieGen can also create background music and sound effects to match the video's theme, according to Meta's claims. Users will also have the option to edit existing videos using the tool.
This development marks Meta’s latest push into the AI space, aiming to compete with existing models in the evolving field of generative AI.
